Manado is the capital city of Bunaken in North Sulawesi which is known very much for its rich biodiversity attractions. Inside the city is the Provincial Museum which houses 3 floors of exhibits where you will be able to learn about the local traditions and transport around here.
The Bendi is one of the highlights here which is a horse trap. It is still being used in present time. There are also a wide variety of artifacts made of ceramic that came from China, Japan and as far as Europe while the furniture used by some heroes of the country too are displayed here. Baliem Vally is one of the most traditional places in the whole Indonesia. In fact is it perhaps the most (and only) way to get to know the Papua Tribe. In certain places, it is spelled as Balim Valley where it is also known as Grand Valley of the Western New Guinea highlands.
The place is basically occupied by the Danis where the main commercial area around here is at Wamena. With an estimated population of around 100,000 people, Baliem Valley was discovered by Richard Archbold during his third zoological expedition into New Guinea in 1938. He found that there as a large agricultural population here when a flight from Hollandia towards the south found the ‘Grand Valley’. Lombok is an Indonesian island located in the west of Nusa Tenggara and is part of the Lesser Sunda islands group. It is located towards the eastern side of Bali where it is very much known as the ‘unspoiled’ Bali what with its natural heritage of untouched sandy beaches, gushing waterfalls as well as the majestic Mount Rinjani.

Located on the West Java of Java island, Bandung is known to be one of the most popular shopping destinations for tourists who come to Indonesia. It is the capital city of West Java where it is also known more fondly as the Parjis van Java which means Paris of Java for its minor resemblance of Paris.
The city was also previously very much renowned for its naturally beautiful flowers where it was also known as Kota Kembang. Bandung is the third largest city in Indonesia where the largest is Jakarta and then Surabaya. The nice thing about Bandung is that due to its natural location of 768meters altitude and engulfed within the Parahyangan mountains, it is cooler than most major cities in Indonesia. If you are travelling into Indonesia, there are several things you must know so that there would be no problems at the entry points. We have previously provided a brief introduction on the visa that you will need. This will look into other issues.
Cigarettes and alcoholic beverages
When entering Indonesia, you must not carry more than 2 liters of alcoholic drinks. In terms of cigarettes, you are only allowed up to 200 cigarettes (or 1 carton) or 50 cigars. Perfume is not too strict but you cannot carry too many new bottles of fragrances. Other products include electronic items like photography equipment, recorders and such, which you would need to declare them at the customs checkpoint. The usual arms and ammunition and narcotics are strictly prohibited while you are also not allowed to bring in publications in Chinese characters and Chinese medicine.

The Ujung Kulon National Park is one of the most beautiful and nature rich national parks in Indonesia. It is located in West Java in the southern-western regions along the Sunda shelf. Its location covers the Ujung Kulon peninsular and spans across to many islands along the coastlines here and also the Krakatoa natural reserve. Ujung Kulon National Park is the first national park in Indonesia to be declared as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO gaining the international recognition in 1992.
